Glasgow’s people are known to be very friendly and generous, giving a great deal of respect to visitors. It readily welcomes people from different cultures and is known to be an exciting city with a melting pot of cultures. Glasgow is compact enough to make it easy to find your way around and make friends.

You may be surprised to hear that students find Glasgow a more economical city to live in than Edinburgh, which is the capital of Scotland.

Glasgow really lights up and has nightlife second to none. The huge variety of pubs and clubs ranges from trendy night clubs to cosy, old world city centre pubs and, of course, for a great night out we heartily recommend it to own students.

You’ll find all the major supermarket and retail chains in Glasgow, with three large city centre shopping malls. Shops to suit all tastes and budgets ensure there are plenty of bargains, whatever you are shopping for.

The UK is a country where there is freedom to practice one s faith, and you will be able to do so whilst a student at Glasgow. The UK is a multi-faith society, with a great richness of faith traditions.

The largest faith community is Christian, and there are good relationships between the major faith communities. The vibrant international community at the College offers great opportunities for meeting people of the same tradition and faith, and those from others - or none.

An important part of your culture may be your religion. The College supports all students regardless of their religious beliefs and holds information about local places of worship. There are Mosques, Temples, Gurudwaras, Synagogues, Churches and other places of worship in the city. There will be other students at the College who will be of the same faith as yourself many of whom you will be able to meet through study at the College.
